Meet our Pastor

Rev. Gloria Bolden

The Rev. Bolden is a native of Charlotte and a product of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. She has three daughters, Jacquelyn, Victoria and Dawn. She also has eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter, Cerenity.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She received her Master of Divinity degree from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Ga. She was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in 1998.

She began her current pastorate at St. Paul Presbyterian Church in 1998. She has served the Presbytery of Charlotte as a member of the Committee on Ministry and the Committee on Preparation for Ministry. She presently serves on the Presbytery Council.

The Rev. Bolden has served on the board of Mecklenburg Ministries and the Center of the Arts and Faith. She is also past regional chaplain of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

Bolden retired as the director of Shaw University Kannapolis C.A.P.E.
